Issued April 1, 1942
Aircraft Cameras (Machine Guns) have been designed and are used in the training of Pilots and Aerial Gunners in Aerial Combat. In simulated Combat, the gun sight aiming point camera may be used in combat to check range, length of burst, destruction of enemy aircraft an...d to a limited extent, the accuracy of aiming. There are two types of Machine Gun Camera's; the H-1 and H-2.
The H-2 Machine Gun 16mm Camera is provided with a time registering device. It is the flexible model Gun Camera. The Camera takes photographs at the rate of 16 frames or photographs a second as long as the trigger is pressed, up to a total of 700 exposures, which is the limiting capacity of the capacity of the spring motor under low temperature conditions.
Topics covered include a General and Detailed Description, Installation, Disassembly and re-assembly, Operating Procedures, Loading Camera Unit with the Film Magazine, Setting Exposure Control Accessories, Inspection and Maintenance and much more.
The H-1 is a fixed type Machine Gun Camera, also in 16mm; streamlined and designed to be attached to the upper side of the aircraft top wing in front of the pilot, or to be faired into a structural part of the airplane. It is attached by means of gun mounts of the kind used for M1 and M2 Caliber .30cal aircraft Machine Guns.
The Camera is tripped electrically by a solenoid which is connected to the operators switch and to a 12 volt power supply. Subjects covered with this type Camera include full Description, Installation, Type A-4 Film Magazine, Winding Camera Unit, Loading Camera Unit with Film Magazine, Setting Exposure Counter, Diaphragm Setting, Setting of Watches, Interpretation of Film for Failures, Lubrication and much more again!

Manual appears to be in Minty Unissued Condition, with only minor period writing on cover.
There is a very very light and small water mark on a few pages that DO NOT DETRACT IN ANY WAY!
All pages are clear bright and excellent! Spine is good and tight.
Sadly, Texicans pay sales tax as do the rest of America it seems.I am not exactly sure how much overseas postage will be, but I always refund any overage back to purchaser. Just ask Anyone!
I am retiring at some point and have hundreds and hundreds of mostly WWII and Era Manuals on mostly Military Vehicles, Weapons of all kinds (from .22 up the largest cannons, rockets/missles and everything in between), accessory ordnance equipment of all kinds and related. These will need to find a new home. I also have a POD publishing business that will also need to go downrange. Tons of killer manuals! I am amenable to a bulk deal. No lists at this time. Also selling Military paintings and art, War Movie Posters of all kinds, Movie Inserts, photographs, Lobby Cards, Title Cards and much More!
Any questions and drop me a line. Serious inquiries please. No tire kickers please.
A LITTLE BIT OF MILITARY HISTORY FOR EVERYONE!
