Original Description:
Exemplary antique Chinese ceremonial dragon robe, or Chaofu, likely restyled in the 1920s for European export.  Dark blue silk ground with gorgeous polychrome silk embroideries rendered in both satin and forbidden stitch.  Large gold couched thread front-facing dragons at body of coat with borders of side-facing dragons.  Restyled sleeves are bell-shaped with lishui border.  Lined in blue satin.
