This is one of the finest quality genuine Sevres porcelain panel clocks i have ever had the pleasure to offer for sale. The case features a fantastic classical design with an elaborate urn to top and matching pierced decoration to either side. The case has various embossed and pierced decorations to the whole of the bronze case all in excellent condition with its original fire gilt mercurial ormolu finish
The case features 8 beautiful genuine Sevres hand painted porcelain thick panels with decorated cherub design to either side. The blue genuine Sevres porcelain panels are of the highest quality with some amazing decorations and are in excellent condition
The case has this absolutely amazing original gilded finish to the bronze which is just fantastic and looks 100 times more impressive in the flesh THE DIAL The clock features a matching full length genuine Sevres thick porcelain dial with black roman numerals in a cartouche style and original moon hands. The dial is very clean and in excellent condition for age with hand painted decoration THE MOVEMENT The movement is also of high quality being an 8 day French bell striking movement which strikes the bell on the half and full hours counting the hours on the hour. The movement is in full working order keeping time and striking when it should as can be seen in the video above with its french pendulum and a new winding key, movement is stamped with the makers mark of Ad Mougin
The movement has recently been fully serviced and comes with a 6 months return to base warranty, please see full terms and conditions
MEASUREMENTS The clock measures 20 inches high x 17 inches wide x 5.25 Inches deep APPROX DATE Circa 1850 This is a perfect investment clock and a beautiful display piece. No matter how well antique clocks have been serviced they will need final adjusting and setting into beat after transport and a professional person is advised and may be required in order to do this so please bear this in mind before bidding
If on the rare occasion you receive a clock that has a problem or does not work after initial set up and adjusting by a professional person then we reserve the right for you to return the mechanism for repair by myself
There will be no refunds if the mechanism needs repair. I reserve the right for the mechanism to be returned to me for repair
I offer a 6 months return to base warranty on all my mechanisms (unless stated not working in description)
In case of a problem after a professional has attempted to set the clock up you can return the mechanism back to me for repair
Please do not take the mechanism to a local clock maker/repairer as this will render the warranty void. All repairs needed to the mechanism will be carried out by myself and not by a 3rd party clock maker/repairer unless agreed by myself beforehand. please contact me in the first instance to arrange return of the mechanism for repair by myself
Shipping the mechanism back to me will be at the buyers cost and i will pay to get the mechanism back to you after repair
