For sale is this Emmert No. 82 Turtle Back Pattern Makers Vise with a 1891 Patent Date. It is in fair to good condition, and could be used as is. The jaws angle like they should, and the whole head rotates 360 degrees. In picture 11 there is a part that goes to it and it is broken, not sure what it really is for. Also, as you can see in picture 12 the mounting bracket has a crack. It was mounted to a bench when I purchased the vise, and seemed to be solidly mounted. So I don't believe ...the crack in the mounting bracket will have any effect on it. The actual size of the jaws are 6 7/8" by 18 3/8", and it opens to 14 1/4". This vise could use a good cleaning or maybe a complete restoration. It is a very heavy vise and will be shipped in a wooden crate. Please look at all 12 pictures.
