This is the ULTRA RARE HOLY GRAIL of all MONO PROMOTIONAL Records... Derek and the Dominos Layla and other Assorted Love Songs from 1970. Very few of these were produced in MONO and sent out as promos to select radio stations, making this record incredibly rare.
The gatefold cover is in very good condition with only minor ring wear bottom of the front and back. There is some minor corner wear. The spine is completely intact with all lettering clear. The 2LP Set Hype sticker is vivid... and in excellent condition. The PROMOTIONAL D/J COPY MONAURAL NOT FOR SALE sticker is also complete, vivid and in great condition.
The inner section of the gatefold is also vivid, bright and in excellent condition.
The record sleeves are perfect with no marks, tears or any other defects.
The white labels on both records on all 4 sides are in perfect condition as well with no marks.
I am not an expert on grading the vinyl but will describe each to the best of my ability. Please check the pictures to grade for yourself.
SIDE ONE - This side appears to have never been played and I would call it NearMint+ To Mint.
SIDE TWO - There are a couple of minor line marks that will not affect playback and are only mentioned for complete accuracy. Overall I would say this side is Excellent+ to NM.
SIDE THREE - Very similar to Side One appearing to have not been played. This side would grade Near Mint+ to Mint.
SIDE FOUR - This side appears to have been the most played which makes sense since Layla is on this side. There are a few minor line marks but nothing that to affect playback. This side would grade Excellent+.
This MONO Promo record is impossibly rare and this particular example would make an incredible addition to your high value collection. This MONO Promo rarely comes is made available on eBay SO BID TO WIN!!!
