Monterey Furniture, Vintage MontereyDesk, Antique Monterey Desk OriginalThis is the stuff dreams are made of:A gorgeous little Monterey desk, 7 drawers, 30” high by 43” wide by 18”deep Monterey Furniture: made from 1930 to the 1940s, uniquely western and reflected the enthusiasm for the ‘Mission’ style; painted in a lovely Early California palette, toned to create an antique look with layers of paint, and branded with the horseshoe; later versions do not have this.... This desk has seven drawers with wood handles in good condition; minor wear and tear evident but over-all excellent considering this piece is 90 years old. All the drawers slide easily and are totally undamaged. The classic branding of the name and horseshoe are plainly visible on the rear. Only the top three drawers display the whimsical painted floral details; the color pallet is ‘Spanish’ Red, Green, Straw Yellow, and Ivory variations; toned for the antique look, with minor touch up; pictured left, right and center, with both sides, top and rear shown.
