For sale is an Old Vintage BESWICK England BLUE GRAZING FOAL HORSE FIGURINE.This is a Very Rare Blue Beswick Foal.Model No. 946Designed by Arthur Gredington.We have not been able to find a similar example of this horse in the Blue colourway.
The figure measures about 3 1/4 inches (8.25 cm) in height. It measures about 4 3/8 inches (about 11 cm) in length (from head to tail).The underside is marked "Beswick England" (see ...photos. The mark is very blurry and smudged but it is there).A rare Beswick figurine !
Condition: The Tail has been broken off and reglued at some point (see photos 10 and 11 and others. The break is fairly clean except for a very tiny piece of missing glaze near the top. The repair was done quite poorly and there is glue residue around the area).The figure could use some cleaning- there is some dirt in some of the crevices. It was purchased from an estate.There is perhaps some paint smudging on the very top of the foal's back (this might be underglaze factory coloring- we aren't sure. See photos). I just want to be as thorough as possible about the condition.We examined all the legs, ears, etc. and they are unbroken.We examined the horse under bright LED light, felt it all over and pinged it- the only damage is the repaired tail.Otherwise, it is in Very Good Condition- there are no other chips, cracks, repairs or any other condition issues or damage.
