This is a very good example of an antique silver 8 Day HEBDOMAS Open face Pocket WatchHebdomas Patents 8 Days, and Swiss made appears on the very attractive white Face that has decoration and has black Arabic Numerals , with black Hollow Fuchsia style Hands with a visible escapement, The 100 years old Swiss Made 8 Day lever movement, is Crown wound and set. It winds well, runs strongly, due to its age we were reluctant to fully wind it, but nevertheless it did run ...for 4 days on a part wind, our timing machine shows it gaining 40 seconds per dayThe Hebdomas Pocket Watch won much acclaim when it was first released back in 1910-1920 for its 8 Day running ability, this is depicted embossed to the main spring barrelThe solid silver Case is in very good condition, catch and hinge operating correctly, with an engine turned pattern embossed to the Back, with a vacant central cartouche, for initials. Inside the back Cover are prominent silver Hallmarks for London Import 1919 it measures 1.850 inches diameter (47mm dia) approx. excluding the Crown & Loop
