A RARE AND EARLY HALF QUARTER REPEATER BY THE LISTED MAKER ANDREW MARCHANT OF LONDON. THE WATCH DATES FROM 1740. IT IS ALL COMPLETE BUT SOLD AS SPARES OR REPAIRS BECAUSE IT NEEDS CLEANING AND THE REPEATING WORK SETTING UP CORRECTLY. THE WATCH IS APPROX 3cm ACROSS ABD FEATURES THE EARLY WORM AND WHEEL SPRING SET UP. THE WATCH HAS A GOOD DISK REGULATOR AND A WELL CHASED AND FRETTED BALANCE COCK. THE BALANCE PIVOTS ARE NOT BROKEN BUT IT DOES NOT SWING. IT NEEDS CLEANING AND CORRECTING. TH...IS IS A RARE WATCH AS ITS A HALF AND QUARTER. REPEATER WICH MEANS IT SOUNDS THE HOURS AND QUARTERS ALONG WITH A SEPARATE SOUND FOR EVERY HALF HOUR. A MOST INTERESTING PIECE.

Just great to have such an amazing and interesting watch that is as good as this one, and it just has every thing one could want on a fine verge watch, very hard to find a watch in this condition with all that it has going for it.
