Over the next week or two, I will be listing some more Vintage WW1 and WW2 Related Items picked from various estates over the past year or two. Items remaining will include such things as WW2 Wartime Hopedale, MA USAAF Bomber Pilots scrapbook with Wartime Draper Mills Ephemera. Other wonderful WW1 related ephemera and items including a superb WW1 Pennsylvania Hospital Unit original photo scrapbook of Lt. Col. Charles S. Jack, several other great WW1 diaries with great content, along wi...th other groups of WW1 letters from another estate with exceptional war content. Also a nice German WW1 Picklehaube Helmet. It may take me a couple of weeks to go through all these items before listing, so keep an eye on my listings.

Here is an ORIGINAL WW1 GERMAN OR PRUSSIAN PICKELHAUBE LOBSTER TAIL HELMET WITH DRAGOON EAGLE. Interior plaque is stamped HERM. WEISSENBURGER & CO.. CANNSTATT. There is also the number "56" stamped on tail rim. This helmet is coming out of the same nice Wellesley, MA collector's estate as the Revolutionary War canteen and Civil War compass I sold last week.
I'm not too knowledgeable about old helmets myself. Looks to have it's original leather liner. Old patina to metal surfaces as found. The exterior has an unpolished brass color in the unrusted areas. The spike has a silvery color. Old green and black colors on the interior. There is a dent spot near the top of helmet and another shallow dent line just above the right wing of the front eagle. A third more minor and shallow ding spot on top. Front brim edge with a bit of a dent spot. The spike is removable (see photo). There is a newer-looking shiny small rivet in the same place on either side of the rear ear rim. As you see it.
