Very solid old estate-fresh H. Gerstner & Sons Machinist Tool Chest -- Leather/Leatherette over wood -- standard 7-drawer set-up.
Structurally sound with no major damage -- the mirror is missing, the felts could use replacement and one of the corner things is loose. Leather cover has some scratches, dings and paint spatters and the leather on the handle is cracked and some chunks are missing but it's hanging together fine. Clasps have tarnish and surface rust but are tight... and work fine, as does the lock and key. I have only given it a surface clean and with some more TLC it will be a showpiece -- or keep it as-is and enjoy its vintage appeal.
