Very rare and beautiful, ca1890s Pair of Native American Plains Cheyenne Indian Bead Decorated Hide Moccasins. This outstanding Pair of late 19th century Cheyenne Moccasins each measure approx. 10" long at their stiffened, parfleche hide soles. The decoration is beautiful with a beaded circle design on the vamps executed using chalk white, red white heart, pea green, greasy yellow, orange, medium blue and faceted black colored beads. These wonderful Cheyenne Indian Moccasins are sinew sewn wit...h contiguous cuffs and applied tongues. The soles are stiffened hide parfleche and they retain their original rawhide ties. These Moccasins came to us from the Collection of Gary Johnson. The Moccasins offered here are unconditionally guaranteed original and of the period. They are NOT reproductions or modern recreations but original Plains Cheyenne Moccasins crafted in the late 19th century.
