About This Product (by manufacturer):The 2000 pre-amplifier was introduced in 1975. It was half the price of the 4000, and a welcome addition to the Phase Linear line of components. It was designed by A.P. Van Meter and was a less complex approach to pre-amplification than the 4000. It was manufactured to 1977.
The 2000 Series Two was introduced in 1978, replacing the 2000. It featured improved specifications, redesigned front panel and standard rack handles.
